Alright, alright, let’s do this boys, let’s get one in the bag! Our beloved Texans are playing the Denver Broncos. It ain’t no thing. I can guarantee you Coach Lovie has been revisiting last week’s game frame by frame with the boys, fellow coaches, assistant coaches, subs, the club’s health practitioners, managers, lawyers, volunteers and everybody else who joins the sideline entourage…He has got a plan, he knows these boys from the inside out, hopefully from the outside in! We are going to come out on top this week ladies and gentleman, guns blazing.
We can do it! This is what I know; we have a team. They are partly experienced with a mix of young bulls and veterans (so I’ve been told). Coach Lovie can see our players’ individual potential and knows how to create and support the boys to meld together into the 2022 Champions, let’s break this down to winning the conference first and moving on up. Let the running of the bulls begin!
What I know about the Denver Broncos is that they will be beaten this weekend.
I know last week ruffled a few feathers and surprised a few people (myself included) with my picks and wins. So let’s jump into my predictions for week 2, keeping in mind, I know nothing about the game, these teams, past history or players, including injuries. I have more important things to do with my time then look into this so called ‘greatest game’ on earth… Especially if it doesn’t relate to my Houston Texan Super Stars. Here we go:
Chiefs Over Chargers
Steelers Over Patriots
Panthers Over Giants
Browns Over Jets
Jaguars Over Colts
Dolphins Over Ravens
Saints Over Buccaneers
Lions Over Commanders
Seahawks Over 49ers
Falcons Over Rams
Raiders Over Cardinals
Texans Over Broncos (It’s a given)
Bengals Over Cowboys
Bears Over Packers (I’ve got to support my seed)
Bills Over Titans
Eagles Over Vikings
Now, being a lady who likes a punt, I know I have more than a few winners here. These predictions are down to the hard-hitting factual evidence I see purely on a glance of last week’s wins, the teams names and of course, logos. Eventually, it is my husband’s hope and ultimate goal that I will be able to back up these predications and forecast with a bit more evidence and research that will naturally occur with falling in love with the game…Keep dreaming babe; I am still well and truly struggling to see the appeal.
On the flip side, after being able to say I have watched two whole games, albeit last weekend (it still counts), I think I spotted something I’m not a fan off to add to the long list… Spontaneity; it is lacking in spades, which in my personal Ignorant Wife opinion, degrades the overall true excitement we take away from just about any other sport. Yes, they have plays, but it’s the same runs against the same players. They clearly have marks they pair off against, but honestly it feels a little boring and predictable. I said it, it’s out there, it's how I’m feeling. It’s up to you George to convince or educate me otherwise.
My Texans are going to bring it home strong this weekend after their away game and no better way to celebrate then with a T-bone on the Barbie, even at 6.30am on a Monday morning. Up the Texan Bulls!
Keep it together!
